Bourne’s Heart and Soul
Smiths of Bourne delivers a dining and drinking experience grounded in craft and character. Set within a 17th-century building, its dining rooms and open courtyard with a play area for families offer space that feels both refined and relaxed. The menu balances hand-stretched, stone-baked pizzas with well-executed retro pub classics and a carefully prepared Sunday roast. A considered selection of real ales, gins, and wines complements the food with quiet precision.

Rich in History
Smiths of Bourne has a rather splendid history. Originally opened as a grocer’s by John Annible Smith in 1857, it served the good people of Bourne for over 150 years. By 2002, the shop was thoughtfully transformed into the vibrant pub we see today, its Victorian charm still very much intact. Now, it’s a place of stone-baked pizzas, real ales, and warm company, a proper neighbourhood gathering spot with a story in every corner.

Bourne Market Town
Bourne is a market town that balances heritage with a considered sense of place. Georgian buildings and independent cafés shape the town’s character, while the surrounding countryside, Bourne Woods, farmland, and gentle waterways offers space to explore. It’s a community rooted in history but quietly evolving, where thoughtful hospitality and a connection to the landscape create a destination that feels both familiar and refined.
